Miguel Ángel Vergara – Mayan Priest, Wisdom Teacher 

Maya Priest & Former Chichén Itzá Director

Miguel Angel is a Maya Priest and Master Teacher who lives and works in Yucatán, Mexico. He studied with Maya Elder Vicente Martín for 17 years and continues to work with the Elders and Priests who are keeping the Maya Sacred Wisdom very much alive today.
He teaches us how to connect with the Maya Masters of Light who are still at the sacred sites ready to guide us today as in ancient times. Going to the source of the Maya knowledge: to the ceremonies, rituals, mantras, sacred books, pyramids, temples, stele, pottery, paintings,  sculptures, and oral traditions that are available today, he finds the essence of their knowledge and then teaches it in a heart centered style that connects rapidly and profoundly with his students.
He is currently in contact with the Olmec-Maya Elders preparing for the Chickaban, a 52-year

Fly into Mérida (MID) or Cancún (CUN). Merida is where we will be based to start and end. Cancun has more flights, but us a 3-4 hour drive from Merida. Ask for more help with Logistics, we can help.

6. Can I room with a friend or sister?
Yes! Choose single or double occupancy. If you’d like a roommate match, let us know and we’ll pair you.

7. What dietary needs do you accommodate?
Our menu is mostly personal choice at the restaurants.

8. What should I pack?
Comfortable clothing for warm days, light layers for cooler evenings, sturdy walking shoes, umbrella, sarongs and sun hats, journal, water bottle, swimwear (for cenote dips), and any personal ritual tools. We will provide packing list .

9. Is travel insurance required?
We strongly recommend trip cancellation/interruption and medical evacuation insurance to protect your journey.

10. What is your cancellation policy?
Due to the intimate size of our circle and the sacred preparations required, all payments are final—no refunds will be issued. Once you join you agree to pay your balance.

11. Will there be Wi-Fi and cell reception?
Wi-Fi is available in common areas; reception can be non existent or spotty at temples and in remote sites—ideal for unplugging and soul-restoration.
